About Samvedana

About Samvedana

Samvedana, literally it means Compassion, but Samvedana stands for a lot more. It is a force that can transcend dreams into reality. It is power that can dispel the darkness of ignorance with the light of knowledge.

Samvedana empowers young minds to live the poet’s dream. It strives to create a world free of abuse, a world suffused with love, a world where opportunities are created to turn aspirations into achievements.

Adding celebration and values to life, Samvedana has given ‘childhood’ back to the children. Since 2002, the organization has been empowering the socially and economically marginalized children with education and
life skills, bridging the inadequacies of their lives. It has also provided platform for likeminded to come together and serve society.

Founded by Mrs. Janki Vasant with a relentless support of Mr. Hiten Vasant and Mr. Peerzada.

Samvedana, a need based initiative started in the slums of Vadaj area, for less privileged children in Ahmedabad with non-formal education, now in Municipal school with formal education, catering higher education to the
deserving, vocational skills and employment opportunities, providing nutrition, health and hygiene to the toddlers, pregnant mothers and lactating mothers in the rural areas.

Samvedana believing humanity as the highest of all ‘dharma’, today completed 10 years and is carving the future of 3000 children.
